Today, we’re here to talk about two easy hair masks you can make at home to help you improve the look and feel of your hair!

Yogurt + Apple Cider Vinegar + Lemon: This mask is a “deep clean” wonder, and does a great job of getting rid of product build-up. Lemon and ACV act as an astringent, while the zinc and lactic acids in the yogurt are moisturizing.
To make this mask, mix ½ cup of plain yogurt, 1 tsp ACV, and 1 TBSP of lemon juice (diluted with 2 TBSP of water). Apply all over, focusing on the scalp. Leave on for 1 minute, then rinse away! Your scalp will feel clean, and your hair will thank you! Pro tip: dilute the lemon juice with water unless you want to lighten your hair color!

Coconut Oil + Jojoba Oil + Peppermint Essential Oil: This mask is super moisturizing thanks to the combination of coconut and jojoba oils. In addition to this, the peppermint essential oil is anti-inflammatory and will soothe a dry, itchy scalp. Consider this mask your best friend if you suffer from this common problem!
To make, simply combine 2 TBSP coconut oil, 1 tsp jojoba oil, and 5 drops of peppermint essential oil. Heat for 10-20 seconds in the microwave, and then rub the treatment into your scalp. Cover with a towel or shower cap and let it sit for at least an hour (overnight is great too!). Then wash out with your regular shampoo and conditioner. Your scalp will feel better, and bonus! This treatment is also said to encourage hair growth!
