Summer is finally on its way, and with it, we’re welcoming some fresh new trends in makeup! Whether you have an event coming up (hello, summer weddings!) or you’re just ready for a new look, Von Anthony Salon can offer you a complete makeup application and help you find a new go-to routine! Here, we’ll talk about the makeup trends you’ll see a whole lot of this summer.

Au Naturale. Contouring is making a hasty exit, and naked skin is happening now! This look embodies a youthful glow unlike any other and allows your natural beauty to shine through. Put away that matte foundation and stick with a soft pink blush across your cheekbones, the tip of your nose, and over your lips. Brush up your brows and add a touch of lip gloss and you’ll have this look mastered in no time!

Poppin’ Eyes. In contrast to the naked look, bright pops of color (especially blue!) will be all over this summer. What better time to embrace some crazy bright colors than the brightest season of all? The bolder and more eye-popping, the better!

Glow and glimmer. Glitter was literally everywhere this fashion season, and it won’t be going anywhere this summer! From club kid lips to sparkly eyelids, there’s virtually no way to go wrong when adding a touch of glitter right now. Our favorite trick? Add a pop of shine to the inside corner of your eyes. You can thank us later!

Bright lips. Much like the poppin’ eyes mentioned above, summer’s lips are a bright variety of gorgeous pinks and reds ranging from raspberry and cherry to coral and tomato. Whichever shade you choose, a bright glossy lip is a perfect compliment to the naked skin look mentioned above. Just be sure to choose one or the other- poppin’ eyes or bright lips- to keep it looking fresh.
