What made me get into the beauty industry?
I always enjoyed getting my hair done when I was younger. I grew up in a small town and one of the highlights was getting your hair done. I loved how in a short amount of time it could build confidence in yourself!
My grandmother played a key role in my decision to become a stylist. She was a stylist for 52 years. I grew up watching her bring beauty to others. She is a big role model in my life today.
How do I stay innovative and up to date in you industry?
Styles are constantly changing. Attending advanced training is a must for longevity in our industry. I'm thankful that I've trained with some of the best in our industry.
My fav hair care tip:
I have curly hair and I'm a busy mom. So, my little secret is allowing my hair to air dry at night. Then using Kerastase leave in conditioner, Nectar Thermique and new Oreo relax oil to style. Dampen the hair just a bit and style as usual. Saves time & your hair stays healthier.
What do I do in my free time.
I love being with my son. He is my why. We enjoy playing Halo and basketball together. Being a mom is the greatest adventure.
You know you're a hairstylist when ... you can’t go out without looking at someone’s hair and visualizing what style you would do if they came and sit in your chair. The struggle is real.
